What To Expect

On Your First Visit

On your first visit to Back To Health Chiropractic, you can expect to be welcomed like family.  We strive to make your first experience here as comfortable as possible.  We will start by having you fill out some necessary paperwork.  If you have chiropractic insurance, or would like to find out if you do, we will take a copy of your insurance card so that we can verify your benefits.* After you have finished with the paperwork, you will be escorted back to the exam/treatment room where you will sit for a few minutes while Dr. Carroll asks you a few questions about why you are seeking care. After this, Dr. Carroll will complete a thorough exam that includes neurological and orthopedic tests, as well as checking your posture and range of motion.  Whether or not you receive treatment on your first visit is dependent upon your exam findings. Treatment on your first visit can include adjustment, electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound muscle therapy, or a combination of any of these.  At the end of your first visit, you will receive instructions on what you should or should not do between visits. You will also be scheduled for a Report of Findings.  It is incredibly important that you come to your Report of Findings so that Dr. Carroll can go over his exam findings with you and give you his recommendations for care.  If, at the end of your first visit, you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.  We are always more than happy to help you in any way we can.

*In Regards to Insurance

We are more than happy to call your insurance for you and verify your chiropractic coverage. Please be advised that what we are quoted is not a guarantee of payment. We will bill your insurance company for any covered charges and await payment for up to 90 days. If we have not received payment at that time, you will be responsible for the remainder of the balance.

If you do not have insurance, we will still be happy to treat you. We currently accept cash, check, Visa, and Mastercard. If you have a financial concern, please let us know so that we can discuss possible options.

Personal Injury/Automobile Accidents

Please notify your auto insurance carrier of your visit to our office immediately. Notify our insurance department immediately if an attorney is representing you. Although you are ultimately responsible for your bill, we will wait for settlement of your claim for up to six months after your care is completed. Once the claim is settled or if you suspend or terminate care, any fees for services are due immediately.

Medicare

We do accept assignment from Medicare. The check is usually sent directly to our office in payment of the services that Medicare will cover, which for Chiropractors is ONLY manual manipulation of the spine. Medicare pays 80% of the allowable fee once the deductible has been met. You are required to pay the deductible and the remaining 20% as well as any non-covered services. Our office completes and files the forms for Medicare at no charge.

Secondary Insurance

Please inform us of any secondary insurance you may have. We will assist you if you need help in filing.
